FAQ

Customer Questions & Answers

What is the difference between the standard and security screw?

Answer::   The ANTI - THEFT design is semi-permanent once installed. It is the screw cap itself that is eliminating the access to the mounting bolts/screws. Once installed they are intentionally difficult to remove often requiring a drill or a Dremel to create an opening to unscrew. This is the only truly anti-theft option we found at our repair shop during our proof of concept creation of the product.

The STANDARD STYLE design is a different style of screw cap that is secure and completes the look of the frame, however, it is made so that you can put on and pull off the screw caps with relative ease similar to a button. They are similar in appearance but the anti-theft will be very secure, the standard style will be cosmetically appealing and a visual deterrent but can be removed easily.

ALL ARE 100% SAE 304 STAINLESS STEEL INCLUDING THE SCREW CAPS REGUARDLESS OF WHICH DESIGN YOU CHOOSE.

Is it rust-proof?

Answer:::   Both the covers and the frame are made of SS 304 Stainless Steel - Stainless steel does not readily corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does. However, it is not fully stain-proof in low-oxygen, high-salinity, or poor air-circulation environments. Stainless steel is used where both the properties of steel and corrosion resistance are required. So splash a small bit of clean water on it if its coated in salt other than that you are alright.

Is it just one cover or 2 covers? For both license plates?

Answer:   Each kit comes with 1 frame

My license plate has four holes, but my automobile only has two holes to attach the plate. Should I get the 2 hole or four hole kit?

Answer:   You should get the 2 hole version. All current state license plates frames that I know of have 4 holes as you said not all vehicles have 4 holes!
